The newly renovated Penthouse at the Hilton on South Beach is not only unique to the Hilton Hotel itself, but unique to Miami Beach in general. This one of a kind unit features state of the art interior design for the living area, with two balconies that have million dollar beach views, a full kitchen, two bedrooms, and don’t forget the private rooftop pool overlooking the Atlantic.
We approached this shoot with the goal of making it look as naturally lit as possible. Once again strobe lighting came into play to balance the beach views with the interior and offered a clean look to the final images.
23 Floors up, over looking Sunny Isles Beach is this model unit completely furnished out by Artefacto for their dream homes advertising campaign. Artefacto sells completely furnished units in some of Miami’s most high-end buildings. The Regalia in Sunny Isles is their newest edition. The unique factor about the Regalia is that each floor is one unit with a 360 degree balcony and unimpeded views to the north which it will stay that way, as this is the last plot of land on Sunny Isles. The neighboring city of Golden Beach does not allow high rise buildings so unlike many buildings in Miami, this view that the bedroom overlooks is not temporary.
For professional photographers, the challenge with interior photography projects like this is getting an exposure balance between the cruicial exterior view and the interior setting. With the clever use of strobe lighting this issue can be achieved quite smoothly.
